i wanted my 3500+ to run at exactly 2.4ghz so i turned the multiplier down to 10x the turned the fsb up to 240mhz, now when i am in windows, cpu-z and central brain identifier say its at 2.64ghz but when i right click and goto properties on my computer it says its 2.4ghz, which is right

You have PC2700 RAM. Why on earth would you turn the multiplier down? That just makes your RAM run slower since it cannot handle the high speeds.

Instead, put your multiplier at 11, and put your FSB at 218. That would be 2398. Trust me, the computer will not care about that 2MHz.
