*The PSU was a combo with the Core2 Duo 50$ in savings.

So what do you think should I go to a mobo that will be directx10 compatible or what would you upgrade?

Just get a good card like that 7900GT or an ATi X1950Pro that will get you going for a few years, then in a few years time when DX10 becomes a necessity pick up a Nvidia 8 series card or an ATi R600 card, it will save you a lot of money. There are no games out there that require dx10 and there won't be for the next couple of years. Dx10 only works in Windows Vista which has yet to hit the streets.

The current motherboard will serve you fine imo.

thanks for reply. Will this all be compatible together and do you think id get a better deal if I bought a premade system with simliar specs.

If you only want 1 gig of ram and don't plan on upgrading to a second gig then its better to get two 512mb sticks so you can run dual channel.

If I were you I would get two 1 gig modules like this here

Yeah if you are buying that kit you are going to want a case with decent cooling. You can get them pretty cheap if you don't want all the fancy "looking" stuff and just the performance.

This is my personal favorite case, but I couldn't afford it because I am on a $500 budget Enermax Chakra Mid-Tower
Just about the best air cooling possible, and it looks awsome with blue LED 120mm fans inside plus you have the 250mm fan on the side to show you are 1337.

If you want something cheaper than this is what I bought for my system and with all 3 possible 120mm fans should be more than enough airflow for you Rosewill R604-P BK ATX
