how to get rid of Startup Item entry in system configuration utility

Hello

I am trying to get rid of this AOLDial application in the Startup( which i accessed through the system configuration utility)
i have removed all the AOL applications through the add/remove application utility) but the AOLdial still remains in the system configuration utility.

can you guys tell me how to remove the startup item entry?

Uninstall the program first.

Then download CCleaner and use its startup utility to remove programs from startup.

thanks for the replies

so there is no clean cut "windows way" of removing the disabled items, will use ccleaner or msconfig cleanup

yes but that requires editing the registry
