Memory Question

this is for my friend (he needs more memory)- he has 2x256mb memory stix - (don't kno the brand) I think the're DDR2 PC-3200 (200mhz)
There's a deal in local computer shop - Kingston 512mb but it's PC2-4300 533Mhz - It fits to his computer (I think it's 240-pin) but just wanted to make sure It wont burn out or anything...
Could you help me out here ???

I think it would work, the new RAM just will not run at he higher speeds.

Motherbaord Brand and model number? Is it value RAM from Kingston? What is the deal? $ =?

Sorry - It's my friend's computer so I don't know much specs
He has some Dell shi*
Motherboard supports up to 4 gigs - WE tried to put it in and it worked - I just wanted to make sure that it won't burn out something or idk

And yes - the memory is Kington Value - 512mb for $29.99
