Noobyish laptop memory question

Am I right in thinking that I just want a SO-DIMM DDR stick? And there will be a SODIMM slot for it to go underneath the laptop?

(Yes it is running XP with 128meg of RAM.)

you'll have to open up the slots on the bottom and look to see if there is an open slot... hopefully there is 2, so you can change out both sticks. In reading it does seem that you should be able to do it...

if there is then you can buy some new sticks and bump up the memory... In fact I have 2, PC2700 256MB DDR333 sticks just sitting here...

I was thinking of having the 128 stick and getting 1 256 stick. The Laptop is just used for VPN and internet.

you need to check which type of SO-DIMM it is because there are different pin counts.
