Hi, Ive been trying to find some files in my registry (fraps files) since they seem to be stopping my upgrading to a full version - the application wont boot when I click the exe, and I have read that it has something to do with a registry file left by the trial version- and im wondering if there is a program which will help me find the files fraps created and delete/change them?

dunno if this is treading on the lines of piracy... what you need to do to edit reg keys is
START>RUN> then type without quotes "regedit"
youll then need to locate the keys yourself but i cant rle tell you hwo to edit those keys for piracy (which is what it sounds like but i could be wrong)

well whats the error you get? post that back and also try this
download CCleaner (google it its free) and use the cleaners and use the reg cleaner also try "Cleanup!" they usually get rid of orphaned keys then try a fresh install
