windows wont boot

Yesterday i just installed windows sp2, i shut the computer off for the night and when i went to turn it on today the computer gets to the windows screen with the blue progress bar and stays there permanently. I tried restarting multiple times, and safemode wont boot. Any ideas how to fix this or revert back to sp1?

yeah try safe mode or sounds like a hardrive problem

guys... his post says "... and safemode wont boot."

check bios settings and turn off things you don't need.
also, check all connections, and reseat the ram

wait, wait.... you upgraded to sp2? that probably is the problem
try getting a copy of xp with sp2 slipstreamed
you should be able to do an install without losing any data

Could try a windows repair might be a driver conflict.
