i just got given an old ish RAID mobo with intel III + win98

so i installed a ripped n modded winXP pro when i start up the onlt things i have left with no drivers was

ADAPTEC < i think as im not at the machine now i cant check

"ADAPTECH SCSI DEVICE processor device" this is the error i get under device manager there is nothing with out driver, and at the mometn there is only one HDD plugegd in and that in the IDE slot not the RAID and a DVD reader plugged also into the IDE..what does this mean and what do i need or what even is this device?

Sounds like the SCSI/RAID controller is needing some drivers. Is there a card plugged into one of the PCI slots?

yeah there is an enthernet pci card (d link) working and fully tested, a PCI working and fully tested soundcard, and one agp, graphics card. Fully working and tested.

It's just the hard drive I can't get to work, a secondary one anyway. The master works fine
