Judging by your processor your a gamer? in which case id go for a better GPU like a 7900GT at least

yeh get a card atleast a Nvidia 7950gt or ATI X1950XT

i would probly get a Asus motherboard to p5w dh delux or p5n32-sli

do you need a operating system or you have the disks already?

make sure you get a good case too and a good brand power supply atleast 500W

Do you really need that much storage right now?

I would get 2 WD raptors 150gb and raid 0 them and use them for your operating system/games. Then use the 320gb for storage, and when you need more then you can get more later. I mean how fast do you use up storage anyways....1.3 TB

I would get the
evga 7900gs and use the step up program to upgrade to a dx10 card later. Unless you just play WoW, then the 7600gt is great but its going to shock on future games like cyrsis.

And you didn't include a case. Do you already have one?

Not that much of a gamer just want to be able to play the latest games. The main reason why I picked a dual-core was because I'm going to take this compter back to boarding school with me and when there I share around 150 movies over the School Lan so I normally have upon average 8 people looking through my internal website and downloading. atm I use an external 400gb hardrive connected to my laptops pentium M 1.5ghz processor lol and 512mb of Ram so to everyone looking through my website its quite fast but on my laptop suddenly I go from writing an essay and the laptop is as fast as I type to typing a paragraph then waiting 2-3minutes for it to begin appearing on the screen and check for mistakes bit annoying after awhile.

I already have a case and operating system the case has 4 fans and 4 harddrive bays. Psu is an antec truepower 2.0 430W at the moment but I'm looking for a larger one now that this pc has grown from being mediocre to slightly power hungry

Matt

p.s. I need quite abit of storage as I also receive around 7 movies a day through uploads by people. I actually started the server at the begging of the term with only 50 movies and a few series of south park and prison break season 1 but it has grown quite abit. Planning by next year to buy a small external hardrive rack to accomodate for frther growth and upgrade the Pc further. In other words it will be the mother of all boarding schools Lan servers

7950gt
e6600
2 gig ram
decent motherboard
decent case
500w power supply

and your be able to play latest games for next couple years

Would it be worth me buying a higher wattage power supply seeing as I dont pay the electric bills my school does so for the next 2 years there will only be around 6 months were i'm directly paying for it.

Matt

btw i just looked at the websites logs and the maximum people I've had on my server was 40 people viewing and 8 people downloading. Last day of term Lol
