Hey guys i have a budget of £470 to build my brother a computer.
He already has a thermaltake case and a x1800 xl pci-e graphics card. The items are from www.ebuyer.com if you want to look them up.

This is what i have came up with:

ASRock CONROEXFIRE-ESATA2 SKT775 945P PCI-E 7.1 channel audio ATX
£56.95
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Music OEM Soundcard
£55.45
Sansun True 450W 20+4pin ATX PSU
£24.99
Sony AW-G170ASV 18xDVD±RW/RAM Dual Layer Writer
£20.53
Western Digital 160GB SATA150 7200rpm 16mb Cache
£41.61
Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86ghz - Skt775 Fsb1066 2mb Cache
£114.51
Crucial 1 GB (2 x 512 MB) DIMM 240-pin DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 CL3
£94.99
Microsoft OEM Windows XP Home SP2B
£55.22

He wants a good soundcard for music, and i chose that PSU because altho its cheap it has great reviews.

Does this system look ok? What changes would you make if any?

Please reply asap as he want to order today for christmas.

Thanks! :]

yeah i also go on overclockers but ebuyer is cheaper overall for the parts i want, i will try scan though. so would you change anything? does it all look compatible?
thanks for your reply! :]

Only thing id change is get a Logitech 5.1 or something, better than creative and ive got the z230s which are 2.1 and they are amazing, so much so they replaced my £200 home stereo as they sound better!(cost about 40-50 i think for 5.1)

EDIT any of those parts would fit to any system really, assuming you already have a core 2 compatible motherboard?

umm thats a soundcard in the list we already have speakers, but thanks for ure input! :]
