WMP 11 'C00D2AFB' Error

Basically when I try to upgrade from WMP 10 to 11, I simplay cannot, getting a 'C00D2AFB' error, eventually leading to a '80070005' - General access denied error. (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wi...=c00d2afb&contextid=10040&originalid=80070005).

Googled the 'C00D2AFB' error, finding the following sites:

Apparently there is some sort of link between CCleaner and this - I have deleted registry entries but I have now replaced them.

I have tried to give 'full permission' (by tickking all 'allow' boxes in regedit for:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall/KB911565
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/WMPlayer.OCX
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/WMPlayer.OCX.7

Still has failed.

I've deleted WMPlayer.OCX and OCX.7 then run the installation, it simply replaced the keys and still failed. I'll also post the wmp11, updspapi and others in the C:Windows folder in the next posts, maybe they can be analysed and the problem could be found.

I've done some searching and the best result i found is to remove WMP 11 via Add/Remove programs... if you can.

The trouble is that it hasn't actually installed. I get the errors specified above and I'm trying to install it. It says 'Cannot complete steup'

Solved - I had to enable permissions for me on:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\
and
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\Mp3Encoder

Once all faulty/restricted keys were enabled and I was given full control, I then could install WMP11.
