video card question

is this card pretty good for modern games like raven shield, vegas, fear, bf2, doom 3 etc???

also, it says 12 pipelines, 36 pixel shaders, does that mean in reality it can be up to 36 pipelines???

and finally, will this card conflict with my nforce4 based board?

I dont know much about ATI but looking at the specs id say yes it will play all top games at an "ok" standard, dont be surprised if you cant run them at highest settings though.

About your board, ive no idea ill leave that to someone else

The X1900GT is a great card, I have played PREY at max settings with it and it looked just about as good as my X1900XT.. if you are looking for a budget ATI card than that is a good choice.. but if you find a little more money the X1950 Pro is great for the price!

the 7900GS is an incredible card for the money ($140 after rebate)

i just built a rig for a friend w/ one in it and he plays bf2 on high settings at 1024x768 perfectly

plus iv read bout ppl volt moding them ( i used to think only the 7900GT could do that) and really blow away the x1900GT

basicly nvidia cards have been beating out ati cards on price and performance lately

I'm also a big fan of the 7900gs. I like the EVGA 7900gs KO and i've read good things about how it overclocks. its about 180 bucks on newegg before rebates. i should be getting mine soon.
