i don't know if this should be here or the hardware section, but we'll see how it goes...
i decided to hook up my usb tv tuner again and record some shows, but i got a decoder error when i tried to watch TV in MCE2005
i read some on the dell forums and they said to install powerdvd.
i installed it, and now it works just fine. i am confused why the dell drivers don't work for the device, and why i have to install a third party program to get the thing to work.
i was wondering if there were any free alternatives to powerdvd, so i can keep it working after the 30 trial is up?
