I'm upgrading from the current spec that's in my sig. The computer will be used for multimedia, lots of gaming and just the usual stuff.


Gigabyte 965P-S3 Conroe Motherboard = $169

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Processor = $305 (E6600 = +144)

256mb 7950GT = $355

1gb Kit Corsair DDR2 667 5300 = $173

Total Price = $1002

Any changes that should be made?
Note I have a budget of about $1200 at max.

instead of getting a kit, which I'm assuming, will be 2x512MB, get a single 1GB stick so you can upgrade later... but the rest looks good

Yeah I'm getting a 8800GTS probs in about a month or two... Depending on what ATI bring out in the coming months. Anybody else have any other suggestions?
