PSU trouble

i just built a new comp, and the PSU(hyper type-r series 580W) when i plug it in, it does nothing, not even the fans on the PSU itself are moving...i need solutions

try the paperclip trick to test ur PSU if it powers on itself.
try this:
put your paperclip into the pin with the green wire and the other end into one of the two black ground wires beside the green wire. It doesn't matter which one, either will work.

BTW u dont hav to wrap it with tape

if its new it should work, u probably connected the power switch in the wrong socket.

ya so that worked it got the fans running on the PSU...but now nothing is working on the motherboard...solutions?
