when i try and use msconfig it tells me it cannot be found and i have a lot of things i need to stop from loading on start-up? what happen were is it?

Extract a New Copy of Msconfig.exe

Open a command prompt window. Insert your XP CD into the drive and enter the following command:

EXPAND -R X:\I386\MSCONFIG.EX_Z:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES

Click start, run, then type cmd in the box. Hit enter. Or start, programs, accessories, command prompt.

edit: you also may want to strongly consider going through the steps in warez's guide. Many forms of malware can disable msconfig, regedit, control panel, etc.

Ccleaner has a very good startup manager or just use regedit?
