Mobo + CPU help!

Still building a computer. I can get a sweet deal on a 3.0 ghz duel core intell cpu. but I can't find ANY cheap mobos that will supports along with pci-e and ddr ram Please help. Or suggest a different mobo +cpu combo. TY

That is not a Duo. It's a Pentium D.

Intel Core Duo, and Core 2 Duo is what you're thinking about.

yeah.. maybe he thought that Duos are general term for Dual cores...Better settle for a Conroe than Pentium D..

Hey, why would you choose a DDR 400? Why not DDR 2? DDR2 is gaining popularity nowadays..and it is becoming cheaper too..

Ive seen an ASUS mobo there.. it's priced at $300+ is it cheap enough for u? It has all the support for the latest processor.. I suggest an Intel Core 2 Duo (Conroe) E6600 for u.. It's priced at around $300 also....Your memory, U can go DDR2 667 or 800... I dont know the pricing..

I dont think he will go that high because he was looking at a cpu that cost $127 and the cpu you told him to get costs $300

i dont think any mobos that support core 2 duos support ddr 400,, theyre all ddr2
