Running WinXP/SP2

I dont remember how long this has been glitching for(months), but when I Click;

"Start/Accs/Systemtools/System Restore"

I get this msg.

"System Restore is not able to protect your computer. Please restart your computer, and then run System Restore again."

I click okay.

I restart.

Same message.....over and over.....

I click on "Start/Help and Support"

It tells me to turn it on. How do I get to the on/off switch?

Thanks

When you boot up keep hitting f8 till a menu comes up and select
last knowen good configuration.If that dosnt work try safe mode and try to do a system restore from within windows.

If you don't have any restore points you can create them using this procedure: start>>run>>type "msconfig">>general>> launch system restore>> create system restore point. Also maybe you don't have enough free space on your hdd and Windows can't create restore points???
