if you have to go AM@ even though fort he price nyour arent getting nearly the performance as you would with a less xpensive core 2 rig, DONT GET THAT CPU!!!!!

it is **** plain and simple its a watse of money (just like AM2) go for an opteron or the 4800,4000+

I guess your right I will just go with the 4800+. So what about the other parts are they compatible with the motherboard I am getting. Cause I don't want to buy them and they can't work with the motherboard. I would most likely, like to know more about PSU, do you think it will work with the motherboard and the case I am getting and is it a good PSU.

that psu will work fine i have built 2 seperate rigs with it and it works flawlessly.

i just looked it up and am2 doesnt have a 4400 or 4800 so just look for a cpu that has 2x1mb l2 cache, the wjole 2x512kb cache is lame as ****

yes AM2 has a 4400 and 4800 you can find it on newegg. Trust me I know you guys are worrying about the fact that I am wasting my money getting a AMD processor. Truth told I just feel comfortable with an AMD processor so don't sweat it. Anyway what do you guys think about the other specifications, and are the other parts compatible with the motherboard like the RAM and Video Card. And also do you think that the PSU will fit perfectly in the case I am getting.

i just looked though newwegg and there isn't a 4400 or 4800+ for AM2.

You do know the difference between skt 939 and AM2 right?
