I'm building this computer to play games like World of Warcraft and CS:S, I also plan on playing Assassins Creed & Spore in the future.

If you all could just look over what I have selected and make sure its all compatable with eachother that would be awesome :).

I'm on a fairly strict budget.. Would the 8800 not work with the processor I have selected or will it not work up to its full potential?

Oh, it'll work, but it would MOST LIKELY not work to full potential.

I have two suggestions for you:
1. Lower the video card to something like a 7600GT or 7800GT (they'll still work fine), or
2. Lower the video card to a 7600GT or 7800GT and get a better processor.

Option two would probably be the best.

but, with DirectX10 and windows vista coming out in the near future wouldnt it be better for me to buy the 8800 now, and if i were to keep the 8800 which processor would you recomend.

Not necessarily. Prices tend to drop in the computer market if you know when to wait until.

If you keep the 8800, I'd still say go for a Core 2 Duo. If you can't afford it, then either save up a little more, or get a C2D setup with a cheaper video card, and then go back and upgrade later.

Alright, I'll purchase a Core 2 Duo :p Is the 7950 better than the 7900GT? and, is everything i have selected compatable with eachother :)

Thanks for the help :), It seems that socket 775 sli motherboards are fairly expensive :|
