I have an OS question

I have windows xp pro, and I have been having a problem with my internet not working after a little while of being on. When this happens, I have to unplug the modem to reset my connection. Have anyone had this happen? This didnt start happening until this last windows xp install.
I am thinking of going back to windows 2000. What do you guys think? Also, one future I like about xp is being able to switch users w/o logging out. Is there a future like this on 2000 now?

It could be a couple of things.

First of all, do you have your copy of Windows XP updated with the latest patches and updates?

Do you have the latest drivers for your modem?

Making sure these are installed could fix your problem.
