Hello,
I am running a Windows XP Pro SP2 computer
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
I have a HDTV as the monitor but it has a VGA plug in so the copmuter thinks its just another monitor. The Resolution for the screen is 1440x900.The problem is every time i restart the copmuter it reboots with a resoluition of only 640x480 as if i never saved the resolution settings. SO i go back into display settings and fix it...it works fine. But then I restart my copmtuier again
and same problem. How do i fix it so the resolution will stay the same when I reboot?
Thanks
-Steve

I think this can be done via a registry hack. Back up your registry first because you just never know.
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG , system, current control set, control, video. There should be another folder or two in the video folder so open each one and look for resolution settings. There are settings for default x resolution and default y resolution. Set the values to 1440 and 900.
