Well, I am finally going to put together a computer completely from parts (I usually start with a Dell barebones or something...) and want to know what other people think about my loadout.
And btw, I have a $500 limit right now. So upgrades come later.

Lets start with what you see, I guess.

I already have a graphics card (Raedon Pro 9700+ or something), A duellayer dvd burner, a cd r/w, a 80 gig HDD, and a 40 gig HDD).

I would appriciate any kind of advice you can give...
thanks.

Do you already have a monitor? If so use that for a bit and get a better motherboard and CPU. You could shoot for a dual core CPU. If that's not the case everything look decent.

Actually come to think of it your video card that you have won't fit in that motherboard, your going to have to get a new one.

Good thing I thought to post the payload before I got it...
Why won't the vid card not fit?

Isnt that the AGP port it needs...?

Oh god... Notices the PCI Express slot isn't an AGP...
