I am looking at a 73GB 15K SCSI 320 80PIN.
I want to use a Adaptec SCSI Card 29320A-R that has 68PIN. How should I go about this?
Will this configeration work?:
SCSI Card>68PIN cable>68to88PIN Adapter>80PIN SCSI Hard Driver
or
SCSI Card>68to88PIN Adapter>80PIN cable>80PIN SCSI Hard Driver

Also what if I go with two 80PIN SCSI 320 drives. What are my options?
I know the Adaptec SCSI Card 29320A-R has what looks like it two internal 68PIN connections, so could I connect each drive to one and then just use RAID 0 or 1 this way??? Not forgeting the 68-88PIN Adapters also.

Have you already purchased the drives? IF not,, why 80pin FC?

Yes your config should work, put each drive on its own channel, make sure you set each drive to be device 0. In the past, i used a few of the adapters, but the performance sucked.. but i think that is because i used cheap ones.

Put the adapter on the hard drive instead of the card. Usually with the adapters, they have a separate power cable going into it, so it would have to be on the drive. the 80pin FC drives usually get power from the backpane of the system
