not bad, i forgot HD's for ya... sory

i gotta tell you though conroe blows away any AMD processor out there.

also, WD Raptors are awsome... especially in RAID 0 :D

DONT get an amd they are not nearly as good as they once were.

Core 2 is the way to go for right now and for awhile coming

+1 on that. Even going with a Core 2 Duo E6300 is more than enough for gaming. And all this is coming from an ex-amd fanboy haha.

EDIT: Might I suggest a Gigabyte 965 S3, or DS3:), or one of the new EVGA nForce 680i motherboards?

yeah I agree. I have amd now but reading about the conroe's and from other posters, it is the superior chip by far for the moment.

Intel all the way !

well this goes back to my thread, i only wanted brand name PCs so i can get the express upgrade from windows vista......... but unless i can get it for freee looks like i'm gonna have to buy one.........

Well guess I think I will just stay on the AMD boat cause AMD is sure to come out with something to wow everybody. So in other words what do you think about the other specification guys.

that all looks good to me....if you are determined to stay on the amd boat. it's not sinking, just ridin a little low in the water, haha.
only one thing, you could buy a 3800+ or a 4200+ and over clock either one of those to the stock speed of the 5000+. and it's fairly easy if you do some reading. depending on which one, you can save a little bit of dough.
they are all 3 good cpu's. the 4200+ that i have was almost double it's current cost before the release of the conroe. sooo...actually they are just as good as they have ever been, it's just that now conroe is better(faster) and the amd's prices have dropped tremendously.
good luck!
