problem with flight simulator x

ok so today i installed FSX..no problem then i fire it up and go into the settings and set aircaft quality to high in the depslay settings. go back into the game and the aircraft quality is still on low...i've tryed resting computer no luck what else can i try

my friend, check if the graphics settings of the game is on software rendering or on the direct 3d accelerator of your vga. there is much difference on the quality between those two settings. the only thing is that direct 3d accelerator gaming requires four times stroonger vga. something else that can be related to your subject is direct x drivers. a checkup will be good.
