OK here's the situation: I have a Gateway 255E notebook. I loaded the Win XP SP2 CD and clicked on F6 to load the SATA drivers. I do not have an internal floppy drive, but I do have a USB extrenal floppy drive. The SATA drivers (from Gateway's support site) loaded up and I was able to change the partitions to the way I wanted them and then perform a quick format using the NTFS file system. That's when my luck runs out. The screen then asks for the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. (?) So I went to the Intel support site and downloaded the floppy version of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. It then says click enter to continue. But when I click enter nothing happens. And I mean nothing like absolutely nothing. I have repeated this entire process several times and always come to the same end. What am I doing wrong?
