Basically, i just want to make sure this is the best stuff i can buy for that price. The motherboard seemed a bit old but I heard its good for overclocking. Last thing, i want to make sure everything will fit in that case or whether i should get a bigger case.

Thanks in advance. Wish me luck on my first big purchase.

trust me i would, but i can't afford another 130 dollars. I will buy more after christmas, but it took me a while to save up $1300. But if that's the only complaint that you see, it really reassures me.

you dont need the sound card the onboard one on the mobo will do the job just fine

All depends on what he's interested in doing with his computer.

You don't need the thermal compound either, the Zalman cooler's already got a tube of that stuff. Saves you a quick $5.99 ;)

i dont see y u need a zalman cooler even if u are doing ocing the cooler from the e6300 is from the pentium d and that cpu is alot hoter then the e6300 stock cooling will be fine even for ocing thatl save u 59.99 and u can spend that on a beter mobo

i'm in the process of buying a new system too.. decided on E6600, 2GB xms memory, 320gb, etc.. all for $1186.84... but holy crap when i saw that u were getting an 8800gts i was flabergasted.. why???

cause honestly... it's making me not want to get the 7900gs since it won't be dx10 compliant.. errrrrr

should i be worried about dx10?
