DVD burner FAQ

Hi,
I am new to dvd burner... I just bought a NEC AD-7173A and a LG H10 DVD burner and I have lots of question regarding burn DVD


My girlfrend burn some dvd for me (datas) one is DVD-R and one is DVD+R ... i dont understand why i cant play it with both dvd burners ..instead I can play it with my old computer Pioneer dvd rom??!!

I am quite sure that my burner can support most of the format ...


Another thing, when i need to burn dvd, what should i beware of ? example - buy the rite format of dvdr..?

Not all drives are 100% compatible with all disc.

When buying disc, the higher the 4x,8x,16 etc. the faster you can write. As for me, I like getting the DVD-R...just a personally perference, used many brands and all work with the occasional 1 or 2 bad disk in the spindle.
