Suggest to me a cooling solution

I wanna OC the living **** out of this thing. But I don't want to use watercooling. Very expensive, and i've never done it before.

First off, I was thinking about adding this thing: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999812 to the case. 250mm intake fan on the side blowing right on the mobo and vga can't hurt... especially since I keep my room in the 40-50 degree range in the winter.

I was also thinking about upgrading the stock case fans. Got a 120mm exhaust in the back, 90mm exhaust in the back, 90mm intake in the front, and a 90mm intake on the top.

So I need a badass heatsink/fan setup for the CPU, ill probably buy that side door, and maybe a replacement intake fan for the front of the case. Also, how expensive would aftermarket cooling be for VGA/RAM? Waste of my money?

Those specs are basically the same as mine. I would suggest getting this hsf with some AS5.

I was afraid that would be the one, I was thinking about getting that one. The reviews make me think my clumsy *** is gonna lose a finger on the fins though =/

srry to highjack ur thread but it is a yes or no question....
you think that hsf would cool a opteron 175 better than a big typhoon?

I would say yes, based on the fact that the big typhoon blows air down where as the CNPS9500 blows air sideways.

the big typhoon is basicly fighting the natural boiancy of the hot air in the heatsink and is blowing the hot air back onto the base of the heatsink/processor/mobo. if the fan was on the bottom blowing up, i would have sided with the big typhoon.

this is just a comment on the base design... weither or not it would actually cool better depends on the size of the heatpipes, the amount of surface area each hs has, the rate of mass flow the fans put out, etc... right now im siding w/ the cnps9500 based solely on the layout of the hs in relation to the fan.

if i were designing the big typhoon... i would have put the fan on the other side is all im saying.

how is that for a simple yes or no?
