so here's the deal.. i figured i'd build a new system from scratch instead of buying it from cyberpowerpc.com.. even tho i was getting what seemed to be a great deal.. i started looking at newegg but then i realied they charge me for shipping and tax.. zipzoomfly.com seems to me like the best deal since they don't.

here are my questions:
-what do you think of the system?
-what do you think of my mobo for the system along with it's price?
-*important* should i instead get 2GB of the same kind of ram? something like this:http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=85025-5
-will the enermax 535w be a good psu for the system and is it quiet?
-is the HIS x1950 pro better than other x1950 pro's and is it a good deal ($239 - $20 mail in rebate = $219)
-does anyone think 320gb is overkill for a hd and is it this seagate a good one?
-should i get a cheaper case if i'm tryin to save money?
-how does the nec 18x double layer compare to competition?
-how else can i save money?

sorry for the bombardment of questions.. anyone who can answer them all gets to keep my system.

Your system and the mobo is pretty good. Yes, go with 2GB ram. The 535W power supply should be enough for your needs. Check out the Enermax 500W Liberty. I heard that one is pretty good and quiet....modular too. The HIS x1950PRO isn't better than others. It's just a company, and that's good deal. 320GB isn't overkill. Lots of space to work with. Look at the Cooler Master Centurion case: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=141783 It's cheaper and better. There's really no competition in terms of dvd burners. A dvd burner is a dvd burner, as long as it works. Now wheres my system?.....haha jk...

see if you can stretch your wallet a little more and get a E6600 instead, you will fall in love with the 4MB L2 Cache

and i would also recomend you go with a cooler master case instead they are great and cheap (in price not performance)

i guess since your the first and only one who responded to all my questions you to get have my system.. so just give ur name and address and you should have it in no time... btw, the system i was referring to was my extremely old PII which is lying in my basement taking up space and collecting dust.. works great as an antique collectible :D

anyhow, maybe fade is right about the E6600, but i dont think i can afford to upgrade to 2GB Xtreme ram AND get an E6600.. if it was one or the other which would you guys choose? and do i really need to go for xtreme ram over value select? and what's so special about having a 4mb cache over a 2mb?

about the psu, is that liberty 500w good for my system? better then 535w?

also, as for the case, i admit i want one with a window.. do you guys know any good quality ones with a relatively cheap price (preferably from zipzoomfly.com)? or is a windowed case a waste of money?

one more thing, i decided i should maybe spend a few extra bucks on the vcard and perhaps go for a 7950 GT over the x1950 pro... what do you guys think about that? and if so, which one:
