update my gaming rig

as you can see i've posted here before about setting up my rig as soon as i'm done high school. but since the new conroe has been release and as well as there will be new video cards coming out soon i want my pc to be able to play the games that come out in the future on max to high detail.

i want to change the mobo,cpu,graphic card and ram as well as anything else that might be good.

i'm looking towards a budget of 1500-2000$ canadian

Go with a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or E6400. And maybe also go for a Evga 7900GTO.

Check my stats in my sig. It's not an overly expensive rig (and not all that well set up for overclocking, which is a pity, but easily upgradable) and because of 8800gts its Crysis-ready - t least it will run it, to one degree or another. We'll know more when Vista/Dx10 comes out, and more still when the game comes out.

ya I would go with either a 8800gts or gtx, I am not sure when you finish school up there. But a lot more dx10 cards will be coming out when vista is more wideley use (within first couple months of 07').

You can see about a e6600 for a cpu.
