Stand by mode

Hi,

I just build me ne gaming rig. after all the installation of softwares- the compute run well. But one thing border me- when i use the window XP stand by, the problem appears...

when i "wake " the computer up, the computer seem running ( the harddisk LED keep running) but nothing one the screen

I have to restart it to solve the problem


pls help

my spec:

AMD x2 3800+ am2
Asus M2n32 Deluxe
XFX 7600gt XXX
2gb RAM

Are you sure its not going into hibernation mode? That is where you would have to hold the power button in for a few seconds to be prompted by the unlock screen rather than stand by where you just hit a button on the keyboard or move the mouse.

Check video card drivers - make sure they are up to date. Also, change BIOS Power Management Settings to 'S1' or 'S1 with S3 Auto' - that worked in my case.

Turn off Plug n' Play OS in the BIOS as well (set to NO).
