Partition Magic Secure Erase didn't work

Hi I'm previous user while i was doing this I forgot my PWs to this site. So multiple account sorry guys.

You can help us out by PMing the admin with your old username (or you can PM me and I'll ask). Larry can resend your password or reset it. Even though it's additional work, it is better than having two accounts with one not being used.

BTW, what is the reason for doing a secure erase of your OS files? I don't understand why you would need to do that to get the "other" information off your HD.

I don't want to reinstall again so what's the next best thing??? How do I clear everything that the secure erase didn't???

what do you mean.....reinstall what?

It would help if you mention your OS, what software your trying to install, and what Secure Erase program you used.

I think it's my own fault coz while it was going I left the Win98SE installation disc in and that may have caused trouble not sure.

But main thing is, the Delete and Secure Erase didn't work. There's a folder named Uninstall Information in Program Files folder and it contains folders with unreadable files.

Also, I tried installing a software demo disc and it STILL DETECTED that I had previously installed it despite me "secure erasing" my C: drive.

I don't want to reinstall again so what's the next best thing??? How do I clear everything that the secure erase didn't???

What is it that you so badly want to take off this hard drive? (Don't Answer if you don't want to)
And why didn't you take the some of the other advice from last week?

OK actually I wasn't there coz I was in the process of the whole thing and had to get internet back too. In that space of time I forgot my PWs.

Anyway why doesn't matter point is I'm trying to do it. My girfriends a real techie and I have lots of porn.

Whether you care about me being able or not I'm curious why 3ds Max demo recognized that it had already previously installed if I had wiped my c: drive.

What does 3ds Max do that bypassses wiping the drive. You think that having Win98SE installation disc while it was wiping messed it up???

i doubt you actually wiped your whole C drive........check your registries
