Im back. Well, I have the money so I think I will get good graphics card (One of the latest ones, and at least 512MB), 2GB Ram. 2x 320GB HDD's and much more, I contacted a good retailer and I get thousands off if i purchase in bulk :)

Good deal, if you can get top of the line, than that is definitely the way to go.

But 2 320 gb hd's? Isnt that a bit overkill?

Is it??

X zone has one 80GB and a 120GB in each computer, And they have heaps of games. I dont know, would one HDD be enough? do games take that much space? ..

Im off again I wont be back until a few hours :(

I think 1 320 gb hd in each computer would be suffiecient, as I have never seen a game that takes up more than 12 gb, so theoretically, you could fit 30 games onto it.

And another key thing to remember is a place that seems better than the competitor. You need to have a reason for people to come check out your place, and then keep coming back after that.

Get a 74gb raptor for each. If I were to build brand new lan computers it would look like this:

e6300
2gb corsair value
some asus mobo (150$...? I dunno I have a badaxe but its 300$ not really worth it for these type of pcs)
DVD-RW w/lightscribe
74gb raptor
CM Centurion
550w Antec Truepower
8800GTS

This would be like an affordable top of the line PC. Cheapest you can get that will crush any game at highest quality...

I see that you want have large harddrives.. but what for?

All you need is about 5 games at a time..

Software isnt cheap either..

25 machines X 30 Games X 50$ per game = $37,500

I would say 30 games is out of the question?? It would be atleast 20k...

well... X zone has over 50 games loaded on EACH computer so people can play LAN

Edit: Cant I have all the games on one ultimate computer? And all the other computers have a good 320GB HDD (pre-built into it) and virtual drives? Or i can have a 'Mini OS' like X zone does and there is a list of games/apps and u just click on one to launch? That will be so much easier but would load times be much slower?

Lol, you might not even need a single 320GB. Before I read the posts, I was thinking a single 160GB might do, but it seems like it could be pushing it. Still, if an average game takes up 3GB, and there are 30 games, that's ~100GB of storage.

Can't comment on the question above, sorry.

You don't wanna go wasting more than 1,000 per computer. You need to save money to buy copies of smartlaunch, security systems, internet, becoming a bawls retailer, buying the games, desks, chairs, all the wiring, and what is a LAN Center without kickass smoothies?

Do not rush into this business, it is un-forgiving.

I will try and help you as much as possible.
