Meh. 0noz!!1 teh bandw!dteh is teh exc33d3d me banw!dteh !!!11!1

Anyway, nothing I can do will change anything.

400x9/1:1 = doesn't post.
400x8/1:1 = posts
425x8/1:1 = posts, but bandwidth is lower than 400!

All this combined with the fact that I know 0 about memory bandwidth and timings probably isn't helping.

ahahaha... agreed!! i too am clueless of what is going on

Thanks :D

Edit: Decided to squeeze a little more out of it. I think this is as close as I am going to get to you gaara :p

2T and 2.3 vdimm

I know we have some peeps with AM2 setups that should be able to fly by all of us.

Show us your goods :p

hmmmmmm.......well that was a long hmm, and i'm considering joining the race even though the general probably has at least as good a chance as i do with this...

SANDRA 2005 is the program right? (i don't feel like a d/l right now unless i know for sure it's the right program)

wow this whole ram thing is still confusing. pretty much the only part I dont fully understand yet

so heres a question:

for my new setup im getting 4 gigs of Corsair 8500-C5D @ 1066MHz so what would be the approximate bandwidth with a Core2 QX6700? Assuming i keep it at stock speed 1066... which i know i wont ;)

well your ram is gonna be defaulted to DDR2-533 unless you set up a mem divider or overclock the cpu...which of course you will.

anyways what i'm sreally aying is that you won't be able to run a 1:1 mem divider and overclock the ram unless you have phase change cooling and i still don't know if you could even then.

You might be better off lowering the frequency to like 800-900mhz and lowering the timings to 3-3-3-9 or something...i really don't know but i've been told that intel mobo's and cpu's don't like mem dividers other than 1:1 (or the default 2:3) so i really can't tell ya.

good luck though man.
