A good C2D mobo would cost him $140 if hes overclocking. If not a cheap one would do him good too. Also the cpu and ram he would have to get for a C2D setup would cost more then what hes currently getting. All and all I dont think he has that extra money for it but if he did I would recommend what TriEclipse said.

You're already ordering a new processor and new memory. Getting a new motherboard would hardly be considered starting from scratch.

I don't have anything against what your saying, but I really don't have the extra money for a new mobo, cpu, mem etc.
