lcd vs hdtv

i can either get a

samsung 19" widescreen lcd

or

Advent 15" hdtv


for the exact same price which would be better for gaming?

it will be used with my (coming soon) 7950gt

yea it turns out that the advent is edtv so im going with the samsung

i would also like to know. because i have a 19 inch hdtv and a 17 inch lcd. wich would be better?

actually in our house we have a 30" lcd XHD monitor a lcd in the kitchen a 45"lcd HDTV in the living room, and a 720p plasam in my brothers room HDTV is just reffereing to resolution 720p or true hd 1080p HDTV's can be CRt projection lcd or plasma that 19" hdtv is problaly an lcd

If the HDTV is only 19", it's most likely LCD, so I'd choose that over a 17" (assuming they're both the same aspect ratio).

is the samsung a monitor or a TV? Never choose a TV over a monitor...unless its like a 45 inch tv.
