hi everyone.
anyone have an opinion as to which of these cooler would give best results? i would like one that i can fit right onto my socket (am2). i would like a miniumum of 6-8 degrees C temperature reduction, fully loaded (i.e. p95 running on both cores).
any other opinions on other coolers are welcome.
thanks!

(my only concern with this one is the height)

okay, yee-ouch.
anyone else certain of that?
it seems on the zalman website that it clips right on...i don't want to have to take my motherboard out.
i'll double check that to be sure.
thanks!
hey, by the way nitestick...
how do you like your mobo? i have heard those are great o.c.ers...
also, what temp does your cpu run at that speed? do you have any aftermarket cooling?
i got mine stable at 2.75, but temps were a little high (50*c running p95 on one core).
i think with a good fan i can punch up the cpu voltage and get to 3.0
i thought my mobo limited me to 1.9v on the ram, but i was mistaken. since i put that up to 2.1, no stability issues...only the heat.

A support bracket is needed on the other side of the mobo(bottom). Its not too bad of an install, you just have to take your mobo out of the case, thats the only hassle about it.

the silver coated version is no better than the copper one... save yourself a few bucks

hmmmm...on the zalman site they show it just clamping onto an am2 using the clamp like the one on the factory hsf...
mjmitch2
i notice you have an e6300...perhaps you only need the backside bracket if you have your type of cpu/mobo?
