A Gaming Laptop/Desktop Replacement

I have a friend who bought a laptop from cyberpowerpc.com and he really likes it. Also, it was fairly cheap compared to any "name brand" with the same specs. I think the specs are close to this (I can't remember exactly):

15"
C2D 1.8-2.0Ghz
120 GB HD
ATI x1600 w/256Mb dedicated video memory
1-2 GB Ram

I think he said that he paid about $1200-$1300 for it. I have seen him play Civ IV, WoW, and Fear on it... and it looks great to me. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it looks/feels kinda cheap.... but looks aren't everything.... as long as it performs.

I've also been looking a the HP Pavilion dv9000t series. They seem to be priced pretty well. They have a different graphics card (the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600) which I'm kinda confused about.... I was told that this card had shared memory but the HP web site says that it has dedicated memory. Also, it's 17"... which could be a little too big.

Anyway, those are my suggestions.
