And there was me thinking I was clever when I wired up a start button in my '79 Mini...

That is quite possibly the best car mod I've seen. Looks proper professional too, could've been a factory install from looking at it.

bOdge, you can do it. There are special shutdown controllers for the pc, so it works in accordance with your ignition. No need to power down or up. Just turn the key off and run. I used an ABS 2 part epoxy to mold the monitor into place and then painted it with flat black plastic paint. See what they have here:

I'm looking to get the MFC so I can control various things in my car like strobes, neons, windows and maybe air-ride if I have enough money left!
