If you won't pay for adobe, I guess that I won't mention getting a hard encoding card because they are expensive

http://www.virtualdub.org/ is a good freeware editing package. It's a bit limited but it is fre.
Other than that it's got to be Premiere

check out Sony Vegas...used that a while ago before my reformat, it was pretty neat.

BTW if you need some help head tohttp://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/. The guides apply to much more than music videos. "VicBond007's Guide to Working with DVD Footage" helps alot, tells how to get the best possible render, how to splice footage without the interlacing screwing up the vid.

thanks. but the latest version of adobe premeire is 2.0. Youre prolly talking about after effects 6.5. Ill look into it, and thanks for all the help guys.
