surge protector

I was wondering if you have a surge protector and you accidentally spill water onto it with the computer, monitor, printer, ect connected to it and the surge protector is still plugged into the wall outlet.... what happens? It seems like everything would be detroyed, but i'm not certain

Uh yes, everything would short out. Surge protectors only protect against power fluxuations from your incoming power source. They dont protect the computer from you spilling water on it....
