Error when installing BF1942

When I try to install Battlefield 1942, I receive the error message:

"Installation support file could not be installed. Catastrophic failure."

This error appears at the very beginning of the installation process. I click OK, and the installation cancels. I've tried installing the game with two different Discs (my friend has it), and they both have this problem. I've also tested installing a different game, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and it installed successfully. I've also searched through my registry and have delted everything that comes up under the search 'battlefield' and 'bf1942.' The game doesn't appear under Add/Remove Programs and it's not in Program Files. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

After plenty of googling, I came a across a possible solution, and it worked. I corrected the problem by deleting the {698D7E61-E4BF-4CA6-8A09-CF6BDBFDEF65} folder from C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information folder.
