OK.. the BSOD says:
----------
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x805502E0, 0xB59B4AB8, 0x00000000)
Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete.
----------
another time it was basically the same thing but had a different STOP code:
----------
STOP: 0x0000001A (0x0004175, 0xC0C00000, 0x000206D9, 0x00000000)
----------
Does any of that make sense? It also recommended that I could disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. I looked this up and it said that could really slow down the machine though.
I bought the RAM at Fry's Electronics, and it's past the 30-day return. If there's something wrong with the RAM, I suppose I could file an RMA with Corsair. Fry's brought the RAM out to me in a static guard bag, it didn't even have a box, which I thought was odd.
