system reboobs when opening movie files

whenever i try to open a file.. thats encoded in something, the computer reboots.. ive uninstalled all codecs, and installed them again.. same thing happens....

i didnt have that problem before, now after i formatted i cant watch anything.

Are you trying to watch a DVD? If not, what movie format are you trying to watch? Also, what video card do you have?
