large OC differences

Now I was wondering if you were to go from a 2.6 ghz overclock back down to stock 2.2 and then when you want to go back up to 2.6 again without bumping a little at a time. Does it hurt the cpu?

Because what I wanted to do is take my computer back down to stock speeds run 3dmark and then put it back to my regular OC's to see the improvement I have.

I do that all the time.

shouldnt do anything that bad, think of laptops, when they go to powersave mode, it might go from, lets say 2ghz all the way down to 700mhz and back up to 2ghz when u need power
