My laptop keeps encrypting all my files.

Every time I create a file like a text document, for instance, it has green lettering meaning that it's encrypted. It happens any time I create a file or bring in a file from another computer via my home network.

How do I stop it from doing this?

It happens in all the folders.

Ok..If all the files are encrypted then it would the folder where the file is stored or the parent of that folder. Just right click on the folder, go to General tab and click on Advanced button. Uncheck "Encrypt contents to secure data"

Keep moving up the tree until you hit the parent folder with the setting.
