ya, i've read the same, but it makes no sense to me... if each card already has quantum physics... and ram for the physics calculations... then what is the purpose...

Because, just because a GPU can calculate physics doesn't mean that it can calculate physics nearly as well as a PPU can.

Its a mixture of architecture and hardware. A GPU is mainly designed to render graphics, a PPU is mainly designed to calculate Physics. A GPU can be made to calculate Physics, but it won't do it nearly as well. Physics calculation power is judged by how many objects the processor can handle, and a PPU can handle many times more objects than any GPU can. Same case with the CPU, that's even weaker.

Triple sli? wow what if you had a core2 extreme, 3 8800gtx's in SLI, and like 4 gigs of ram. Wow that computer would be amazing.

No. That would be the ultimate waste of money. Get a car, man. I hope the "uber gaming" would pay for the stupid amount of money some1 would pay for that.

Oh wait. Maybe not.
