Hi

My first computer project so apologies if this is a basic question.

The case I chose was a Coolermaster Centurion 5.
Nice case to work with but the documatation that came with it was abysmal. It came with a box of bits some with an obvious use and some.....well i'm still scratching my head.

One of them was a heavy grey ring (approx 2cm in diam). I've heard that it has somthing to do with suppressing magnetic interference on case wires but i'm still not sure exactly how to use it.

Do I just thread all case wires through it. i.e. power switch wires, front panel USB/audio wires or just the USB wires that carry data?

Is there any particular point on the wire where it is most effective?

How necessary is it anyway.

Thanks in advance for all replys.......Kevmac
